New Director joins KeyTask

New London office opens

KeyTask Management Limited (“KeyTask”) is pleased to announce that Mark Leonard joins KeyTask as an Executive Director in July 2018.

KeyTask is a construction consultancy specialising exclusively in the hotel and hospitality sector. It works for clients as project manager, cost consultant, procurement manager and employer’s agent. Typical projects are new builds or refurbishments of hotels, high-end restaurants, bars and clubs. KeyTask has an excellent track record, continually delivering successful projects in the sector.

Ian Oram (Managing Director and founder of KeyTask) said: “I am delighted that Mark Leonard will be joining us in a few weeks. His recruitment strengthens the team further and enhances our capabilities. The KeyTask team is looking forward to working with him.”

Mark Leonard joins KeyTask from Mace Group, where he was an Associate Director and Hotel Sector Lead based in London. Mark has a wealth of experience delivering major project and programme management commissions in the UK and internationally. He joined Mace in 2011, having previously worked at Cyril Sweett and Turner & Townsend.

Mark Leonard stated: “KeyTask is engaged on a number of high profile and complex projects. I am very much looking forward to joining Ian and his team. We have a clear vision for growth and the company has an exciting future, part of which is the new office in Central London.”

KeyTask will open its new Central London base in addition to its main office in Guildford in July 2018. The new premises are in Temple off Fleet Street. The address is 4th Floor, 7 Bell Yard, London WC2A 2JR.

KeyTask continues to attract exciting projects from well-known clients. The conversion of the Great Eastern Hotel to Hyatt’s new Andaz brand is well advanced, with the completion of bedroom refurbishments, the opening of Rakes Bar in June and further work to public areas to follow. KeyTask is managing the refurbishment of the iconic One Aldwych Hotel. This includes all bedrooms and public areas, and the replacement and upgrade of the complete mechanical and electrical installations.

Other important projects include managing the fit-out of a boutique hotel in Crown Place near Liverpool Street to be operated by Bespoke Hotels, for whom KeyTask recently completed the rebuild of The White Horse in Dorking. KeyTask is also about to complete a 1,300m² new restaurant, VIVI for Rhubarb Group, and is commencing a project management role for a five-star hotel restaurant in Knightsbridge.

Ian Oram added: “Our workload continues to increase and I can see our revenue doubling in the next 24 months. Mark will be integral to achieving this success.”
